Why Cricket Association of Nepal can be Suspended Again?

After the allegation of spot fixing, betting and match fixing in the recently organized Nepal T20 League a big question has arisen whether the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) will be suspended by the sports ministry or by ICC once again?

CAN officials claimed that this tournament will play an important role for the development of Nepali cricket. Voice in parliament against CAN and CAN president Chatur Bahadur Chand saying that CAN had given rights to an Indian company without any competitor to organize the competition.

After the competion of tournament, two players were arrested and made public on the suspicion of spot fixing. In which former player Mehbub Alam and Adil Alam of Janakpur Royals were arrested. Currently, CIB, Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority and ICC are conducting technical and legal investigations on Nepal T20 League Math.

Sandeep Lamichhane comebacks in National Team Close camp.

Nepali Cricket team former captain Sandeep Lamichhane is included in the ongoing 2nd phase close camp for Tri-Series against Namibia and Scotland. The Tri-Series is of ICC Cricket Men's World Cup League 2. Sandeep wasn't included in 1st phase close camp where Cricket Association of Nepal announced 28 players' list. CAN included Lamichhane in the 20 player's 2nd phase close camp. Sandeep Lamichhane was suspended by CAN from National team after he was accused for rape of 17-year-old minor. Now, court has released him in Bail of 2 Lakh NRS. The court hasn't given final verdict on the case of Sandeep Lamichhane.
